Nodame Cantabile Saishū Gakushō Zen-Pen (Nodame Cantabile: The Final Score Part I), the first film in a two-part theatrical finale inspired by Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile musical romance manga, fell from #2 to #7 (#6 on Rentrak Theatrical's chart). It earned US$1,210,697 on 409 screens during its sixth weekend for a total-to-date of US$38,915,917.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st opened out of the top 10, but viewers spent 61,292,300 yen (about US$681,386) to watch the film 39,863 times on just 19 screens. The film remade the original Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha anime series with entirely new, theatrical-quality animation.

Similarly, viewers spent 37,699,500 yen to watch Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works 24,407 times on just 12 screens. The all-new animated production covered the Unlimited Blade Works storyline from Type-Moon's Fate/stay night game franchise.

Haruhi Film in Top 10 with 89,010,100 yen (Updated)
posted on 2010-02-09 13:06 EST

The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya film, the first ever film in the Haruhi Suzumiya franchise, opened on Saturday and earned in the range of 100 million yen (about US$1 million) in its first two days. That was enough to rank the 163-minute film at #7 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's weekend chart in Japan. (The Eiga.com website lists Kogyo Tsushinsha's ranking, but also puts the film at #6 in its own tally.)
In this Kyoto Animation film, chief director Tatsuya Ishihara and director Yasuhiro Takemoto adapted the fourth Haruhi Suzumiya light novel from Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito.
The film opened on only 24 screens, which led to long lines and high per-screen averages in box office receipts. The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site reported that about 500 fans stood in line early Saturday morning at Tokyo's Ikebukuro district to catch the first screening at 8:00 a.m.

By comparison, the weekend's #1 film in Japan, James Cameron's Avatar, is in its seventh weekend on about 680 screens. Neither Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st nor Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works ranked in the top 10 when they opened in the same weekend last month. Viewers spent 61,292,300 yen (US$685,700) to watch the Nanoha film 39,863 times on 19 screens in its first weekend. Similarly, viewers spent 37,699,500 yen (US$420,400) to watch the Fate/stay night film 24,407 times on 12 screens in its first weekend.

Bandai Entertainment, the North American distributor of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya television anime series, posted a video on late last month that mentioned the promotion of "the second season DVDs." The company then posted a revised version of that video on Monday that indicated that the second season DVDs will ship in one complete collection. Little, Brown Young Readers is publishing the third Haruhi Suzumiya light novel volume in North America this July, and Yen Press acquired both the main manga adaptation by Gaku Tsugano and Puyo's The Melancholy of Suzumiya-Haruhi-Chan "official gag manga."

Update: According to the Eiga Consultant Nikki (Movie Consultant Blog), viewers spent 89,010,100 yen (US$994,153) to watch The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya 60,306 times during its first weekend. That gives the film a per-screen average of 3.7 million yen (US$41,000), compared to Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works' 3.14-million-yen (US$35,100) average on 12 screens,

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st's 3.22-million-yen (US$36,000) average on 19 screens, and Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance's (Evangelion Shin Gekijōban: Ha's) 4.27-million-yen (US$47,700) average on 120 screens.

Arrival: Figma Signum & SIC Kiwami Mask Rider Faiz

On Wednesday, 3rd Feb 2010, i got my package from Gactvision for Masked rider Faiz range of SIC Kiwami Tamashii.. was hoping they are a lil bit taller.. bu they're kinda small.. as compared to figmas.. but heck... its half the price.. no complaints on dat.. anyways, for a small guy, it sure has a lot of possible poses to try out.. so, i think its worth it.. of course, the finish isn't as clean and fine, but its still reasonable for me.. closeups will show some mis-coloring, lining errors and stuff.. but ok la..

On Thursday, 4th Feb 2010, i collected my signum from Dex, Dcode toy at sek17, PJ.. well, quite satisfied with signum, coz it sure has a lot of accessories.. so, surely its worth it.. to me at least..

Ok, as usual, i plucked some infos from here n there, (most of the time from wiki), so hopefully it explains the characters well enuff.. for the pics, its taken wif my Motorola Krzr K1 hp, tho 2.0MP, but its doesn't hav macro function, mind u.. so, m pic aren't that clear.. heck, u can certainly find good pics over the net.. till i can afford an SLR, bear wif me ok..

Signum (シグナム, Shigunamu?), voiced by Kaori Shimizu (Japanese) and Bailey Chadwick (English)[1], is a character in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's. She appears in neither the previous series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha nor the alternate universe story Triangle Heart, but appears in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. Signum is the leader of the Wolkenritter (German > "Cloud Knights"), a creation of the Book of Darkness. Signum's weapon is a chain-link sword called Laevatein, and as a magical creation, she has no familiar. She is named for the Opel Signum, much like characters of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha are named for cars, and her device appears to be named after the mythical sword Laevateinn. As per the other Wolkenritter, she has no last name (though in earth she is know as Hayate's mother Yagami Signum). (Source: Wikipedia)

MASKED RIDER 555 @ FAIZ (pronounced fives)
The Smart Brain Corporation, the world's most powerful corporation, is trying to take over the world using Orphnoch, the next stage in humanity's evolution, to covertly kill off the human population. In pursuit of this, they develop three suits of power armor, called Rider Gear (Delta, Faiz, and Kaixa), to find and protect the Orphnoch King, who can fix a defect within Orphnoch DNA which causes their genetic structure to break down, leading to death.

The Rider Gears are stolen by Hanagata, the Goat Orphnoch and former President of Smart Brain Corporation. He sends them to his foster children (dubbed the Ryuseiji, after the school they attended) so they can stop the Orphnoch from achieving their goal. However, Rider Gears were designed to be worn by Orphnoch, and humans are unable to activate the systems without undergoing genetic modification.

A young loner, Takumi Inui, is unwillingly drawn into the conflict between the Orphnoch and humans and becomes Kamen Rider Faiz to save the life of Mari Sonoda, one of the Ryuseiji. The Smart Brain Corporation begins targeting him in an attempt to retrieve the Faiz Gear.

However, there is division amongst the Orphnoch, as those who wish to co-exist with humans rather than kill them, begin resisting Smart Brain, who in turn targets them as well. Most of these "renegade" Orphnochs are either killed, remain neutral or begin siding with the Ryuseiji against the Smart Brain Corporation.

When the Tokyo police discover the Orphnoch are behind a series of bizarre murders, they begin operations to defeat the creatures, largely unaware of the various factions involved. They even begin performing experiments on captured Orphnoch in an attempt to find ways of destroying them, though this does not go well.

The Orphnoch King eventually awakens within a young boy named Teruo, whom Naoya Kaido and Keitaro Kikuchi saved and befriended. Now, it is up to the holders of the Rider Gears to band together and fight for humanity's survival. (source:Wikipedia)

The titular hero from "Kamen Rider Faiz" now gets a palm-sized action figure release rendered in S.I.C.-style detail! Sculpted by Kenji Ando, 12cm Kamen Rider Faiz shares the same high level of attention to detail as his larger S.I.C. action figure counterpart. The figure boasts over 20 points of articulation, and included are his signature Faiz Phone, Faiz Pointer, and Faiz Edge. Sharply detailed, finished with care, extremely poseable, and reasonably priced, too! (Source: Hobby Link Japan)
